Filmmaker Olly Lambert has discussed the diffulties he encountered whilst trying to make this documentary. Despite being a seasoned filmmaker who has made several docuentaries about international conflicts in places such as Syria, Gaza and also during the Iraq war, he said he had never encountered anything like the hostility he received whilst making this film. Stella O’Malley has gone on to speak openly about her own experiences as a gender dysphoric child, and her concerns about the numbers of youth now declaring a transgender identity and going on to socially and mediclly transition. At the end of 2020, she began a podcast, with therapist Sasha Ayad, called Gender: A Wider Lens, exploring the expanding concept of “gender” from a psychological depth perspective.
